It’s just perfect, I’d already read the book, and the film went far beyond my expectations… Although it has some few inconsistencies, I found it very good, and VERY WELL DONE.
DiCaprio is perfect and born-to-fill-the-role, as always, his performance blew me away…such a fine actor, but WHOA… he’s really Gatsby, or at least how he interpreted, he’s what I imagined to be, like if my 15 version of Gatsby and the Baz Luhrmann version collapsed, and BOOM…
Again, perfection… then I’m not fond of Toby Maguire, but he’s very good at the part, and then Carey Mulligan… great work…
I’m still amazed by the visual effects, the wardrobe, the soundtrack… WOW…
PS. It’s kinda obvious, due because it’s the same director of Romeo+Juliet and Moulin Rouge, but I find the narrator’s voice very similar to Ewan Mcgregor’s in MR…
